• The Flapneck Chameleon, also known as the Jackson’s Chameleon, is a species of chameleon native to East Africa. These unique reptiles are easily recognizable by the flaps of skin on either side of their heads, giving them their distinctive appearance. They are also known for their ability to change color, allowing them to blend in with their surroundings and avoid predators.Flapneck Chameleons are primarily arboreal, meaning they spend most of their time in trees. They have specialized feet and a prehensile tail that help them grip onto branches and navigate their forest habitats. Their eyes are able to move independently, giving them a wide range of vision to spot prey such as insects. They are also capable of shooting their long, sticky tongues out quickly to catch their prey.

  Unfortunately, Flapneck Chameleons face threats from habitat loss and the pet trade. Deforestation and urbanization are destroying their natural habitats, reducing the available space for these unique creatures to thrive. Additionally, capturing them for the pet trade can lead to decreased populations in the wild.
