• The Green Iguana, scientifically known as Iguana iguana, is a species of large, herbivorous lizard native to Central and South America. These striking reptiles are best known for their vibrant green coloration, which helps them blend in seamlessly with their tropical forest habitats. Green Iguanas can grow up to six feet in length, with males typically larger than females. They have a long, slender body and a row of spines that run down their back, giving them a distinctive appearance.One of the most notable features of the Green Iguana is its ability to regulate its body temperature by basking in the sun. These cold-blooded reptiles rely on external heat sources to stay warm, making them highly dependent on their environment. They are also excellent climbers and swimmers, using their strong limbs and long tail to navigate through the dense vegetation and waterways of their natural habitat.
